• As City Council President, Sabina Matos passed a resolution supporting the Reproductive Privacy Act.

• As Lt. Governor, Sabina Matos pushed for the inclusion of funding for the Equality in Abortion Coverage Act in the budget and for its eventual passage in the state legislature.

• Sabina Matos joined 21 other Lieutenant Governors from across the nation to form a Coalition to Protect Reproductive Freedom.

As Lt. Governor, Sabina helped pass a state ban on high-capacity magazines, successfully advocated to raise the legal age to purchase firearms and ammunition in Rhode Island from 18 to 21, and worked to ban the open carry of any loaded rifle or shotgun in public.
